This is a board meeting only--no refreshments, meals, or presentations, as we have had in the past.

 

Our chapter will wrap up its 68th year by holding the Annual Membership Meeting & “Boardwalk” Field Trip on Saturday, May 30, at Six Cypress Slough Preserve, located at 7751 Penzance BLVD Fort Myers, FL 33966. The meeting and field trip are free and open to the public.

The meeting begins at 2 pm in the Interpretive Center, followed by a field trip led by Vince McGrath. A parking fee is in effect.

Chapter members in good standing are eligible to vote in the board election. The following slate of 4 nominees (in alpha order) are standing for two-year terms:

• Brad Cornell

• Gerri Reaves

• Robin Serne

• Dan VanNorman            

 

Notes:

• Lona Philpot continues on the board of directors through the next year to complete the second half of her two-year term.

• Past President Vince McGrath serves at will, as chapter bylaws allow    

 

How to Submit Your Vote: You are eligible to vote if you are a current member of either our chapter or have affiliated membership through the National Audubon Society. You may choose to vote in person at the meeting or by e-mail to Audubon.Southwest.Florida@gmail.com.

When voting by email, be sure to include your name, e-mail address, and voting choices. Please respond by May 28, 2026.

Indicate your choices by “Approve All,” “Approve None,” or “Approve these selected candidate(s).”

You may also nominate write-in candidates for consideration at the meeting or for later appointment by the board of directors.
